Thomas M. Cushing’s campaign for Circuit Court Judge from the 9th Judicial Subcircuit launched last night!
The Cushing for Judge campaign kicked off with a rousing gathering of more than one hundred supporters in Evanston on September 19, 2013.
The crowd was strictly friends and family, there to learn about Tom’s candidacy and the steps necessary to secure victory in the Democratic primary on March 18, 2014.
Margaret and Joseph Flanagan, avid supporters of numerous good causes in Evanston and throughout the area, hosted the kick off event at their home. Joe commented afterward:
“The Campaign Kick Off was a great success! When you work with a person whose life purpose is to be a man for others, the support he can generate and the number of people who want to help Tom become a judge is awesome to see.”
Tom Cushing has been a lawyer for twenty-five years, focusing on civil litigation and environmental advocacy. He has achieved numerous verdicts and settlements in injury and business cases in excess of $1M, has served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Loyola University School of Law, and was appointed by the Supreme Court as a member of the ARDC Hearing Board.

It is true: we do get the government we deserve.
So it’s vital that we choose carefully and select the best people to serve in public office, from Congress to water commissioner to judge. I’m running for judge to make things better for our children’s generation.
Thanks for visiting my website to learn about me and about my candidacy for Judge of the Circuit Court of Cook County. I’m confident that the more you learn the better it will be for all of us.
Just as not all doctors are surgeons, not all lawyers are trial attorneys. In fact, the great majority of lawyers do not try cases in court. In my 25 years as a lawyer, I have distinguished myself as an expert trial lawyer:
I recognize the place I am best suited to serve the wider community is in the courtroom, as a judge.
And while I have always worked in the private sector, I know that public service in my professional life is the best way for me to make an impact and pay it forward for the next generation.
Many thanks for dropping by and I hope we have the opportunity to meet as the Cushing For Judge campaign kicks off.
