The Right Choice For Judge

i Sep 18th No Comments by

It is true:  we do get the government we deserve.

So it’s vital that we choose carefully and select the best people to serve in public office, from Congress to water commissioner to judge. I’m running for judge to make things better for our children’s generation.

Thanks for visiting my website to learn about me and about my candidacy for Judge of the Circuit Court of Cook County.  I’m confident that the more you learn the better it will be for all of us.

Just as not all doctors are surgeons, not all lawyers are trial attorneys.  In fact, the great majority of lawyers do not try cases in court.  In my 25 years as a lawyer, I have distinguished myself as an expert trial lawyer:

  • Dozens of noteworthy verdicts and appeals; many results in excess of $1 million.
  • Adjunct Professor at Loyola Law School to teach trial skills, procedure and alternative dispute resolution.
  • Courtroom work across the profession, including catastrophic injury cases, business lawsuits, professional liability, felony criminal, chancery, and probate cases.
  • Past membership by invitation to the Society of Trial Lawyers and Loyola Law School’s Circle of Advocates.
  • Supreme Court appointment to the Hearing Board of the ARDC, the body that hears and judges claims of attorney misconduct.

I recognize the place I am best suited to serve the wider community is in the courtroom, as a judge.

And while I have always worked in the private sector, I know that public service in my professional life is the best way for me to make an impact and pay it forward for the next generation.

Many thanks for dropping by and I hope we have the opportunity to meet as the Cushing For Judge campaign kicks off.
